meg

this is our 10-year old pooch, meg.  this is what she looks like pretty much all day, unless she's eating.  the old girl is all about food (she's a martin).  you can lay on her, step on her paws with high heels, drag her by the choke chain, and she will not so much as utter the smallest growl.  but try to take her food away and watch out, she just might take your hand off.

one time, when our friends were house-sitting for us, meg got in the house when she wasn't supposed to and headed straight for the trash (the buffet).  our house-sitter, a God-fearing, mild-mannered young man, tried to get her out of the trash and got the "don't-you-dare-come-between me-and-my-smorgasbord" snarl, so, realizing he could do so in all good conscience, he yelled at her, "Meg, you bitch!"

well, i could go on and on with the meg stories, but i'll save them for another day.  i will add that we in our family all love/like/disdain her in varying degrees.  but we do all agree that her blond eyelashes are irresistable.

meg (a.k.a. "eggus," "moo-us," "moogie," "mooey.")

see that sprig of fur sticking up out of the top of her head?  look real close.  can you see it? it absolutely never lays down.  ever.  just so you know.

well, i too could add meg stories. second memorable is her spending the night at our house christmas eve before you gave her to the girls. could that really be 10 years ago???? the most memorable though....hearing my mild-mannered, God-fearing husband yell at her. :)

I LOVED hearing about Meg, sweet little stinker that she is! I want to come over and work my dog-whisper-er magic on her trash-mongering-growls! =) I am remembering Trievie-weevie also. We sing to our doggies like you and I used to serenade Trieve...ah...the memories!
